Carl Maddox for Burns Beach
Carl was born in south east London in the U.K. He is a carpenter/joiner by trade, running his own company as a head contractor. Carl came to live in Australia 11 years ago, choosing the northern suburbs as his new home.
He has worked as a project manager/estimator who has managed sites such as the Children’s Hospital, Perth Stadium, police stations and office refits. Two years ago he was laid off, and has experienced life being out of work and unable to pay the bills, an experience shared by an increasing number of West Australians.
Why Burns Beach?
Carl is concerned about law enforcement and believes the Northern suburbs locals need a voice in Parliament to “stop the rot at the top”. As a “tools man”, Carl is worried about the northern suburbs residents whose lives have been destroyed by home-building workmanship displaying low levels of construction knowledge, and who now face lengthy and expensive court battles trying to repair shonky (“new”) homes which have major structural problems.
This election Carl is campaigning for
“W.A. getting its fair share of GST “Your tax, your state, your choice!” and return the W.A. economy to surplus so that funding for public services and housing is available. A job and a house for everybody.”
